New SeeFront 32'' 3D monitor unveiled in IGT's Sphinx 4D slot machine

At Global Gaming Expo (G2E) in September, IGT unveiled the new Sphinx 4D featuring a 32'' SeeFront 3D monitor. The new game combines SeeFront's award-winning glasses-free 3D display technology with gesture interaction and air haptic technology for a truly compelling experience of immersion and interaction.

Gesture recognition enables players to interact with and manipulate the game's 3D objects which seem to hover in mid-air between the player and the slot machine. Air haptic technology gives players the chance to experience real-time tactile feedback from the game. SeeFront's CEO Christoph Grossmann was impressed by the unique combination of technologies: "The innovative interaction technologies are a great match for glasses-free 3D, giving a new dimension to human-machine-interaction. I can imagine many other fields of use where this combination of visualization and interaction could make for a compelling use case."

Also prominently showcased at IGT's booth were new games for the 23'' 3D slot machines, among them Jurassic World 3D, Baywatch 3D, Treasures of Olympus 3D and Wheel of Fortune Double Diamond 3D.

Victor Duarte, IGT's Global Chief Product Officer, Gaming said in an interview with yogonet.com: "Revealing Sphinx 4D on the CrystalCurve True 4D™ cabinet was a significant moment for IGT. Over the last three years we have built our True  3D™ game family with multiple new themes and game types, creating a significant global install base that continues to perform extremely well. With Sphinx 4D, we have elevated that immersive player experience by incorporating gesture recognition and air haptic technology."
