SeeFront's new overlay for MacBook Air shows how to turn a laptop computer into a 3D machine within moments. Side by side with Canada-based licensee Spatial View Inc., SeeFront presents innovative 3D technology at booth 141 on the NVISION show floor.
SeeFront founder and CEO Christoph M. Grossmann takes part in the joint Session of Spatial View Inc. and SeeFront GmbH on August 27 at the Emerging Companies Summit.

01/08/2008 - Auto-stereoscopic Microscope Opening a New Dimension in Microsurgery.Moeller-Wedel GmbH successfully showed a new auto-stereoscopic surgical microscope at the 2007 annual meeting and exhibition of the American Academy of Ophthalmology in New Orleans, LA USA. Moeller-Wedel GmbH is a world renowned manufacturer of surgical microscopes for use in ophthalmology, dentistry, neurosurgery, and reconstructive surgery.
The auto-stereoscopic microscope is the first commercial use of Spatial View's 3D LiveVideo. The subsequent stereo video is displayed in real time on a SeeFront 3D SU 2119, 21" auto-stereoscopic display.
The SeeFront 3D SU 2119's high resolution of 1600x1200 meets the strong demands of medical practice as it's based on the EIZO Radiforce S2100M monitor, designed for clinical review. The live 3D video from the microscope can be viewed easily, without the need for stereo glasses of any kind. A tracking system, which is part of the SeeFront screen, perpetually records the viewer's position in front of the display and the screen image is automatically and instantly updated to match this position, ensuring a perfect, comfortable, and natural, glasses-free 3D experience.
The microscope is designed primarily as a microsurgery tool, giving surgeons a new found ability and freedom to work with live, high resolution stereo video. The SVI 3D LiveVideo system also features tools for masking and saving the stereo video and images as well as for controlling and adjusting camera and image settings and stereo depth.

03/25/2007 - SeeFront 21'' 3D display draws the attention at CeBIT.The first SeeFront pre-series 21'' 3D display presented at CeBIT 2007 in Hannover, Germany by Canada-based licencee Spatial View Inc. got a lot of attention. Trade visitors and 3D experts as well as journalists and the general public were impressed by SeeFront's innovative 3D technology. Different applications showed the wide variety of possible uses for a single-user 3D display. A medical application converting data of a CT body scan to a 3D model, a live video stream of Spatial View's busy booth captured with a stereo-camera and a computer-generated movie of a flight over the surface of planet Mars drew many eyes. German IT industry newswire heise online notes SeeFront and Spatial View 3D displays in an article (in German only) on 3D innovations at this year's CeBIT.
A high-ranking guest of honor visited the Hamburg-based company: SeeFront founder and CEO Christoph M. Grossmann had the special honor of welcoming Hamburg's Minister of Science and Research Joerg Draeger, Ph.D. (Cornell U.) at the booth. After a presentation of medical and scientific uses of autostereoscopic 3D technology Mr. Draeger appeared very impressed by the SeeFront 21'' 3D display he tested.
